About Us
Addiction Recovery Consultants is led by CEO Lucas A. Catton, CCDC (Certified Chemical Dependency Counselor), who is a 10-plus-year industry veteran.
After permanently recovering from alcohol and drug abuse in the late 90's, Mr. Catton began working in the field with a drug-free rehabilitation program in the areas of drug education and prevention. Through the years his contributions continued to include public relations, government relations as well as treatment and recovery advocacy. During his years with the treatment center he also became a certified counslor and a published author.
Catton's articles on the subject of addiction and rehabilitation have been printed in hundreds of newspapers, magazines and online publications and have reached millions of readers. His first book "Losing the Beer Goggles: And Seeing the Truth for the First Time" was published in 2005 and many of the principles still apply today. His new book is called "The New Face of Recovery: Unlabeling Addiction as a Disease and Finding Treatments that Work".
Addiction Recovery Consultants recently completed the fully-independent production of the groundbreaking documentary film "Curing Addiction"
Before starting Addiction Recovery Consultants, Catton was the director of the Substance Abuse Services Division of Southern Health Care Resources, as well as a treatment center executive and spokesperson. He has been a guest on dozens of radio and television broadcasts and his online education and commentary pages and blogs are read by thousands of people every day.
Neither Catton nor Addiction Recovery Consultants are connected to any specific treatment program or modality, but instead seek to find solutions for each individual situation.
Recovery Advocate
"Our goal with Addiction Recovery Consultants is to change the face of recovery in America," comments Catton. "Too many lives are lost through ineffective treatments and by assisting rehabilitation programs that can demonstrate success we are able to help individuals, families and communities better themselves by putting alcohol and other drug abuse behind them forever."
